HuntDesk does the job of the paid Amazon research suites for a seller — or an agency hunting products for its clients — who wants the full picture without a monthly subscription to three tools.

It finds the niches for you

Most research tools wait for you to bring a keyword. The Opportunity Finder works the other way round: pick a category and a price range, and it reads the best sellers, turns each one into its search market, analyses those markets and keeps only the ones where the top ten sell well, carry few reviews and are not owned by one brand.

Honest numbers, including the bad ones

Sales estimates come from Amazon’s own “bought in the past month” badges and a rank-to-sales curve that calibrates itself from them. When the data is not there, the tool says “unknown” rather than guessing low. And when a cheap product comes out unprofitable after fees, the planner says so — and shows the price it would need for a 20% margin.

From product to plan

The Budget Planner turns a shortlist and a budget into a first order, a month-by-month ramp, the month the investment is recovered and a profit range, then writes it up as a business plan. The US and Canadian marketplaces work today; other marketplaces need a local proxy.

Also true of it

  • Opportunity Finder scans a category’s best sellers on its own and returns only the niches with high demand and low competition.
  • Market Analyzer for any keyword, product name, ASIN or link: page-one revenue, sales, prices, review counts and how much the top brands hold.
  • Keyword research, five-year trends and seasonality, review mining and a ten-point go / no-go validator.
  • Budget Planner: enter $5,000 and it ranks your shortlisted products by twelve-month profit after fees, duty, freight and ad spend.
  • Printable business plans to hand to a client, with every assumption stated and editable.
  • Client logins with plans and usage limits, so research can be sold as a service.

How it is built

Boring technology, on purpose

Nothing here rests on a framework that will be abandoned in two years or on a hosting bill that grows with your success. It runs on an ordinary server, it backs up with ordinary tools, and the data stays yours.
